The Orchid Mantis is a beautiful and rare insect that can be found only on white and pink flowers (Orchid). Hard to spot due to its camouflage characteristic, many photographers only notice it after scaring it off. The Orchid Mantis cannot be found during rain. When approached, the orchid mantis will raise its body and spread its wings. The other popular names of this insect are Hymenopus coronatus and walking flower mantis. They originate from India and South-East Asian islands such as Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Orchid mantis is one of the most beautiful Mantises in the world.
