A new phone is entering into the fiercely competitive smartphone
market. The Sony Xperia Z, a soon to be released 5inch smartphone, will add to
the options of buyers while making it tough for other competitors. Let us
examine what new this phone has to offer.
The Sony
Xperia Z has a 5” super bright full HD screen with highest pixel density
of 443 ppi (1080x1920 pixels) when compared to other existing
smartphones. The BRAVIA TV technology engineers have worked in
developing this screen.
Addition of
OptiContrast panel has reduced reflection and made the view clearer. The
front and back panels are made of glass and skeleton frame is made of
tough glass fibre polyamide.
The screen is scratch-resistant one. This mobile has screenshot-capturing feature.
Xperia Z is tested to be water and dust resistant. You can use this camera even in the rain.
Xperia Z is supported by Google Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system.
This mobile is
powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. You can run multiple
apps simultaneously and enjoy fast web browsing.
This 5” mobile has the dimension of 139 x 71 x 7.9 mm and weighs 146 grams.
Sony claims that battery supports talk time up to 11 hours and standby time for up to 550 hours.
Xperia Z comes with 2GB ram and internal storage of 16GB. It also supports expandable memory up to 32GB.
This phone has a powerful 13.1 megapixel CyberShot camera and 2MP Front-facing camera.
HDR (High
Dynamic Range) technology is introduced in this mobile, which helps take
better photographs during high contrast situations.
Even front camera supports HDR photos and the front camera helps video calling in low light conditions.
With Superior
Auto, users without knowledge of different modes of camera also can
shoot better pictures. This mode comes with HRD and noise reduction and
it automatically sets itself for optimal settings.
A digital zoom of 16x, face detection, Geo-tagging, red-eye reduction, sweep panorama are some of its other features.
This phone is yet to be released in India and official pricing is not yet announced.
Time will tell how it competes with its fierce rivals like iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S3, LG Nexus 4 and others.
